Exhibition and Monograph Presentation

The Bomar Art Gallery and the Aleksić Gallery of Contemporary Art will present the project Playing with the Big Boys by artist Davor Dmitrović on June 12, 2026, in Novi Sad.

Following the presentation of specific segments of the series through exhibitions in Zagreb and Kragujevac, the project will be showcased for the first time as a unified and complete artistic whole, combining both an exhibition and a monograph publication.

The exhibition brings together a representative selection of works from the Playing with the Big Boys series, offering the most comprehensive insight into this creative project to date. Through complex pictorial compositions, Dmitrović develops a distinct visual universe where fairytale motifs, personal mythology, and contemporary experience intertwine, raising questions about identity, coming of age, desire, illusion, loneliness, and the human search for meaning.
