ABOUT

Petar Mošić (1981, Belgrade) completed his PhD Degree of studies of Art at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade, under the mentorship of Professor Anđelka Bojović.

Participated in twenty independent and over a hundred group exhibitions both within the country and abroad. This young artist has been awarded many times for his distinctive style, which is now already recognizable to audiences and critics. Among significant awards and acknowledgements are the acknowledgement for the most successful guest artist at the Glo’Art International Residence in Belgium (2019), the Golden Palette from Spring Exhibition of the Association of Fine Artists of Serbia (ULUS) (2016), the award for painting at the 2nd Open October Salon (2013) and the first prize for the caricature “Little Pierre” (1996). Petar Mošić’s works can be found in numerous private and public collections both in the country and abroad, such as the Museum of Herzegovina in Trebinje, the insurance company Wiener Städtische, the Courtyard by Marriott Belgrade City Center, the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade. but it also adorns several public buildings in Belgrade in the form of murals. He has participated in international projects and residencies, such as the Glo’Art Foundation in Belgium (2016, 2017, 2018, 2019), the International Summer Art Camp - Nagykőrös, Hungary (2014), as well as in many important colonies in Serbia and the region. He collaborated with the National Museum of Rwanda in 2021, as one of the authors of texts for the museum brochure on the creative work of artist Guy Karangwa Omega. From 2016 to 2018, he was a member of the Gallery Council of the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade. He lives and works in Belgrade.
