Petar Mosic
BIOGRAPHY
Petar Mošić (Belgrade, June 11, 1981 — Belgrade, June 29, 2025) was a prominent Serbian artist who participated in twenty independent and over a hundred group exhibitions both within the country and abroad.
This artist was awarded many times for his distinctive style, which became highly recognizable to audiences and critics alike. Among his significant awards and acknowledgements are the acknowledgement for the most successful guest artist at the Glo’Art International Residence in Belgium (2019), the Golden Palette from the Spring Exhibition of the Association of Fine Artists of Serbia (ULUS) (2016), the award for painting at the 2nd Open October Salon (2013), and the first prize for the caricature “Little Pierre” (1996). Petar Mošić’s works can be found in numerous private and public collections both in the country and abroad, such as the Museum of Herzegovina in Trebinje, the Museum of Srem, the First Kragujevac Gymnasium, the insurance company Wiener Städtische, the Courtyard by Marriott Belgrade City Center, and the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade, while several public buildings in Belgrade are adorned with his murals. He participated in international projects and residencies, such as the Glo’Art Foundation in Belgium (2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2023) and the International Summer Art Camp in Nagykőrös, Hungary (2014), as well as in many important art colonies across Serbia and the region. At the Affordable Art Fair Amsterdam 2022, one of his paintings was selected by the fair's director, Blythe Bolton, as one of the best exhibited artworks of the event. In 2021, he collaborated with the National Museum of Rwanda as a co-author of the text for the museum brochure dedicated to the creative work of the artist Guy Karangwa Omega. From 2016 to 2018, he served as a member of the Gallery Council of the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade. He lived and worked in Belgrade.
