Gala Čaki

Painter, Collector, Organizer of the “Gala International Art Symposium”. Gala Čaki was born in 1987 in Ečka, SFRY. She completed her primary and secondary education in Zrenjanin and in 2006 enrolled at the Academy of Fine Arts in Novi Sad. In 2011, she completed two master’s degrees in painting and drawing. In 2013, she enrolled in doctoral art studies at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade, which she completed in 2017. Since 2014, she has been a member of the international organization Art Link Us, based in Ehime, Japan. Since 2013, she has exhibited her artistic work both in her country and around the world. She has been awarded numerous scholarships and residency programs, including the Ruth Katzman Scholarship in New York, USA (2012), the Raghurajpur International Art/Craft Exchange in India (2012), and the Al Asmakh International Art Residency for Young Artists in Doha, Qatar (2015). She also received the Culture Spark Award for a young creator under 35, from the Government of the Province of Vojvodina, Republic of Serbia. Gala Čaki is the organizer of the “Gala International Art Symposium” in Novi Sad, Serbia, in 2018, 2019, and 2020. She was also a jury member of the Venice Biennale for Serbia. 2021. - Award Spark of culture for young creators under 35 years of age, The Government of Vojvodina, Republic of Serbia.
