BIOGRAPHY
Đorđe Bukvić (Kragujevac, 1996) is a photographer and creative director whose practice has developed at the intersection of fine-art photography, fashion and contemporary visual culture.
After completing primary music school in violin and secondary medical school, he continued his education in Australia, where he also worked in visual merchandising for Hugo Boss in Queensland. His international work encompasses editorial and fashion projects, productions and collaborations in Paris, Milan, Montenegro and other centres. His photographs have been presented on PhotoVogue and selected for Best of Vogue Italia, while one work formed part of The Exposure Awards group presentation at the Louvre in Paris. Gladys Magazine named him among five emerging international photographers and later appointed him International Director of Photography. He contributed writing to Wall Street International, now Meer, and worked on campaigns for fashion, luxury and hospitality brands including Dior Riviera, Damiani, Hilton, Hyatt, Swissôtel, Merit and The Chedi. In 2019, he founded the fashion and lifestyle project GEORGE BOOK. In the Herbarium series, he brings the visual precision of fashion and commercial photography into an independent artistic practice, constructing images in which organic form moves between botanical motif, body and imagined organism.
